The Chrysler Group has just recently announced that it is already planning on producing the very first diesel-powered and full sized sport utility vehicle. The Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel will offer consumers increased fuel economy, class-leading torque, towing, and driving range." Indeed, this could be a bestseller among those who would like to have an SUV which does not use up much gas.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been produced by the Chrysler Corporation since 1993 up until the present. It actually replaced the Jeep Grand Wagoneer in the Jeep line up of exemplary vehicles. It has been produced in one body style only which is the wagon with four doors. In the market, its competitors include the Ford Explorer, GMC Envoy, Toyota 4Runner, and Nissan Pathfinder.
